I wrote about my struggle with PTSD yesterday and it seems that I was bit “gloomy” in my outlook.
So on a positive note some of the things I have learned about myself through out all of this are
– I am a strong person
– I don’t have to put up with other peoples imposed views of me
– I have learned to meditate and take time out
– I have learned to stand up for myself
– I have learned to not be taken advantage of (in some circumstances)
– I have learned the value in prioritising the things that are important to ME.
– Take one day at a time, one hour at a time and one minute at a time.
– don’t sweat the small stuff, some things are just too insignificant to pay attention to.
– Do one thing a day no matter how small to please myself.
– If I’m having a bad day don’t make any rash decisions
– try to focus on the positive aspects of every situation
So whilst PTSD and depression is not fun in anyway, there have been some learning outcomes from the diagnosis.
